Are you struggling with ‘adrenal fatigue’?

Maybe you’re noticing these symptoms:

  • Extreme tiredness - Feeling tired, weak, and fatigued all the time

  • Energy dip at 3 pm - You’d love to take a nap every afternoon (or maybe you do)

  • Sleeping issues - Wake up at the same time every night, unable to fall back asleep, or struggling to fall asleep

  • Crave salt or sugar

  • Need coffee or stimulants to keep yourself going

  • Dizziness or lightheadedness or low blood pressure (dizzy when you go from sitting to standing)

You don’t need a diagnosis or test to tell you your adrenals are low

People say adrenal fatigue isn’t a real thing because when we test for it, the results often come back as “normal”. Just because a lab doesn’t say something is off doesn’t mean things are working as they should (it often just means it’s not bad enough yet). This is why I refer to this as Low Adrenals, a condition I can readily identify based on client symptoms and a marker in their dry blood analysis (See image below)

If you’re experiencing the symptoms above, that’s enough to tell us your adrenals likely need some TLC

😩 Maybe you’ve gone through a season of stress where a lot was happening in life
🍯 Maybe you have your hands in many pots, you’re being pulled in many different directions
💪 Maybe you were taught you need to achieve great success and work hard to get the life you want (or even to just get by)
🚨 Maybe you’ve gone through trauma recently or earlier in your life that has put your adrenals on high alert
🏃‍♀️ Maybe you struggle to relax, and sitting down to do nothing isn’t in your repertoire

Whatever led you here…

I invite you to have compassion for the journey. This world we live in is constantly telling us that we’re behind, we need more, do more, be better….it’s a lotttt for anyone. While I will always say we must get to the root of why the adrenals had to push so hard in the first place (aka the psychosomatic reason) there are ways we can support the adrenals to get them back on track 🙌

Supporting Your Adrenals 101:

✅ Nourish
: Eat enough Protein, B vitamins, Zinc, Magnesium, Vitamin C

✅ Eat at consistent times to keep blood sugar steady. I recommend 3 meals per day, focusing on eating protein with each meal (min 20g) & fill up on fibre (veggies)

✅ Eat breakfast within one hour of waking

A little extra sea salt - Low sodium is common with adrenal fatigue (can also help combat those salty cravings)

✅ Skip HITT or cardio and go for gentle walks, yoga, and Pilates (your adrenals don’t need any more reason to release cortisol)

Do Breathwork every day to shift your nervous system out of fight-or-flight (aka stop putting pressure on the adrenals) so your adrenals can rest
