Why Can’t I Say No To Sugar?

If you’ve ever found yourself NEEDing that sweet treat at 3 pm, craving dessert after dinner or never able to say no when someone offers you a sweet treat (even if you said you were so DONE with sugar), you are not alone in this, anddddd it’s likely not your fault.

The sugar addiction runs deep. And by deep, I mean there’s often a lot more going on underneath those cravings than simply needing to “just stop eating sugar.”

In this video, I break down the main causes of sugar addictions and why it’s not as easy as telling yourself no more.

👉 Your nutrition plays a role

👉 Your stress levels play a role

👉 Your emotions play a role

👉 Your gut bacteria and hidden friends play a role 🪱

👉 Your hormones play a role

👉 Even plain old habits play a role

Sugar cravings are, like any symptom, a message from your body.

You can tell yourself to stop eating it all you want, but until you find what that message is, you’ll always be in a battle against that inner sugar addict.

What do we do instead?

Uncover the message.

Find your why and what your body needs so you can get back to feeling like yourself again!

Or, like for one of my clients, who had been “craving sugar since they came out of the womb” (I share this story in the video), possibly kicking those lifelong cravings to the curb 👋
