Before You Start A Diet, Read This

Summer is a season of fun, sunshine, and for many, a time when our health routine and diet slip 🫠 (one too many ice creams and extra full bellies leaving the family bbq)

With September just around the corner, you may be looking into the next diet you’re gonna start… Before you do, I invite you to watch this video

While I am going to cheer you on anytime you choose to prioritize your health, another diet may not be what you need.

Your health isn’t a bandwagon you hop on in January and September.

As a Holistic Nutritionist, I hear all the stories from clients who have tried keto, paleo, carnivore, vegetarian, no sugar, weight watchers, low carb, 1500 calorie, and all of them have one thing in common

They don’t work.

Sure you may lose weight or feel better, but to me, if you can stick with it, if it’s not a long-term solution, it doesn't work.

You don’t need another diet; you need to find what you need

Most dieting happens from a structured mind place - "I should eat this, I should not eat that”

Without any consideration for what your body truly needs.

This is the problem

You’re told the only way to feel/look good is by restricting yourself from the nutrients your body requires, without any consideration of whether that is truly helpful (and healthful) to you.

Before you hop on the next diet, ask yourself,  “Is this what my body needs?”

When you make your body the focus point of your dietary changes, finding what feels good (doing that) and what doesn't feel good (doing less of that)

You will find a “diet” (aka way of eating) that feels good for you, gets you the results you’re striving for, and is something you can stick with long-term.

You don’t need another diet; you need a reconciliation with your body.

In this video, I dive deeper into why the ‘diet’ approach to nutrition doesn’t work and what to do instead (3 things to focus on)
