5 Easy Steps to get back to your health Routine
As the long weekend comes to an end, you may already be planning what youโre going to do to get back to your health routine! Summer is fun and playful but it also can feel ungrounding and bussyy. As you start thinking about September routines and how you can feel your best for the last 4 months of the year, here are some steps to help make this easier for you!
1. Find what feels easy and start there ๐
What health choices feel really easy for you?
๐ Is it eating a healthy breakfast, or going for a walk, or having a nourishing dinner, or prioritizing your sleep?
Find the one thing that feels easy and that you LOVE doing. Make your plan to implement it every day this week, and allow the momentum to build from there.
2. Focus on the small steps ๐ฃ
The baby steps and 1% shifts may seem small at first (especially for those of us who have big goals, big dreams, and always go balls to the wall ๐คช) but they add up fast.
๐ Maybe this week itโs one workout, or one walk around the block, one yoga class or 3 days of home cooked lunches.
๐ Maybe this week is getting yourself to bed on time or swapping your afternoon coffee for herbal tea or doing 5 minutes of breathwork a day.
Today it may look like โjust this one small stepโ but each step leads to the next and before you know it your health routine isnโt something you have to do, itโs part of who you are.
3. Celebrate your wins ๐
๐ You put veggies in your lunch today, you remembered to eat breakfast, you took a break instead of pushing through to the next task - YAY!
The energy of celebration, that high vibe state will motivate you to keep going (even the smallest wins!!)
4. Get Support ๐ฏโโ๏ธ
Trying to do it all by yourself may be what is keeping you stuck.
๐ Constantly thinking about what you โshouldโ be doing or switching plans to do whatever the next health influencer tells you.
When you have support behind you, you donโt have to question what to do. Instead you know what the next right action step is and are grounded in the knowledge that it will lead you towards feeling your best!
5. What do you need ๐
I could write 10 more points advising you on what you could do but at the end of the day, what I say doesnโt matter, itโs what you need that does. You know yourself and your body best. So instead of looking outside of yourself for answers, take a few moments to reflect:
